Festival 2006
Youghal Festival Committee was formed in October 1999 of very enthusiastic people whom saw the need for a Festival Weekend in Youghal. This is a totally voluntary organisation. The summer of 2000 saw the first 0f 2 festival weekends which prove to be very successful and this success has gone from strength to strength. 2006 will see our 11th Festival Weekend.
All entertainment is "free on street" and consists of local. national and international bands..Sporting events on the programme consists of a Trithlon which has proven to be very popular and growing in sture from year to year with athletes from all over Ireland and some from abroad taking part. 2005 Triathlon saw our biggest entry to date with 178 athletes.Other sporting events include: Raft Race, 5-A-Side Inter-Firm Soccer Tournament, Under 15yr Invitational Soccer Tournament, Puc Fada Competition (over water).
Plans are well under way for 2006 which will take place on 21st, 22nd, 23rd of July and final touches are being put to the design of the advertising programmes and posters. All this could not be possible without Corporate Sponsorship and local fundraising and it is with this in mind that we look to your company.

- 2pm-5pm : Under 18's Busking Comp North Main Street
- 8.00pm : Youghal Pipe Band At Barrys Lane
- 9.00pm : Maritime Festival Weekend Opening Night At the Market Square followed by Band Flash Harry

- 11.00am : Kiddies Sandcastle Comp Under 10’s only At the Mall Strand
- 12pm : Kiddies Crab Comp At the Market Dock
- 2.00pm-5pm : Adult Busking Competition 2 Track CD Recording & Cash in Prizes
- 6:30pm : 5-A-Side Soccer Final At Ardrath Park
- 9.00pm : Market Square Music by Aslan
